Manitou

Manitou is more than just a small town. As a caring community where nearly everyone knows one another it offers a secure, friendly environment for visitors and locals alike. The town’s rural lifestyle blends with modern conveniences including a variety of local services.

A combination of facilities including a state of the art swimming pool, multi-purpose arena, curling rink and 9-hole golf course, offer top notch programs and recreation to both residents and visitors.

Manitou belongs to Communities in Bloom as we are a community fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community participation. In 2002 we received 4 Blooms and followed up in 2003 by receiving 5 Blooms in the Manitoba in Bloom competition. This led to our invitation to participate in the National Communities in Bloom where we received 5 Blooms in both 2004,2005 and 2007.

Manitou's Population as of the 2021 Census is 812.
