La Riviere Raptor Festival - April 22, 2017
 
Darlingford Memorial Service - (D)
First Sunday in July- Annually
Outside in the beautiful tranquil setting of the Memorial Park, many gather to pay their respects to those who have fallen from our area. Service starts at 11am.
 
Remembrance Day Service - (M)
November 11th - Annually
The Remembrance Day Service is held every year at the Manitou Opera House starting at 10:40am.
 
 
Once again Oak Valley Productions Inc. presents the inspiring drama of Manitoba's Passion Play at its scenic outdoor theatre site near La Riviere, Manitoba. Numerous volunteers from all across Manitoba, including cast, crew, front of house personnel and many more work together to present this unique Manitoba event. Year after year many are still discovering this hidden gem.
 
La Riviere Turkey Fest & Duck Races - (L)
Please accept this as your personal invitation to attend La Riviere’s 7th Annual Turkey Fest and duck race, an event designed for all ages to promote good outdoor fun and activities for all ages, in an effort to raise funds for repairs for our recreation centre building. La Riviere & Community Recreation Association board of directors have organized an extraordinary day and some features include children’s activities and face painting, decorated bike contest, paint-a-mural, concession, beer gardens, games, old-fashioned picnic races, music, fun and best of all the duck race itself.  Admission is free, duck tickets are $5.00 each and are available from board members and local supporting businesses. Only 700 tickets available so get yours early.  Prizes are 25%, 15% and 10% of sold tickets with prizes for sellers too. Ducks race at 5pm and winners are announced at 6pm.  Race is on rain or shine. La Riviere Kids' Hallowe'en Fun Day - (L)

All kids from 1 to 101 are invited join us for ghoulish games, freaky fun, frightening food and pretty prizes as we celebrate Hallowe’en, a day of fun for everyone.  The event features a bouncy slide/obstacle course combo, bingo, Rain-BOO Auction, costume judging, pumpkin decorating and judging, and everyone’s favorite, the Haunted House…Enter IF YOU DARE!  Canteen on site with special Hallowe’en treats offered as well as lunch and snacks.  Treat bags, music and so much more.  Admission: Age 4+ $8.00 per person (Includes 25 tickets for rainbow auction), Age 3 and under FREE. La Riviere's Breakfast with Santa - (L)
December 3rd, 2016 9:30am

On Saturday, December 5sth, La Riviere & Community Recreation Centre will become a hub of activity as Santa arrives to greet children who gather for brunch to start celebrations for the coming Christmas season.  You will be dazzled by colorful Christmas trees, snowmen, gingerbread men, snowflakes, glittery balls and colorful lights.  Enjoy a breakfast of sausages, ham, scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes, oranges, juices and beverages.  Spend time at the craft table or decorate cookies of choice with colorful icings and decorations of the season.  Music, much visiting, chatting and laughing as folks meet old friends and neighbors or make new ones from the village and surrounding community.  Personal visits and photos with Santa and Mrs. Clause, while Frosty is here to give treat bags to all boys and girls.The afternoon’s treasure auction and bake sale features your donated discards and includes everything from ice cream makers, keyboards, books and baubles to become treasures for their new owners via a professional auctioneer who knows how to make your belly ache with laughter as he tries to empty your wallet.  Home baking auction includes buttery cookies, buns, bread, dainties of all kinds, homemade pies and candy.  La Riviere & Community Recreation Association board of directors sponsor this event.
