OUTDOOR WINTER ADVENTURE

Morning

Ice fishing is a popular outdoor winter activity.  Head to Mary Jane Reservoir for some fishing on a beautiful winter morning located just west of Manitou. On your way there stop by Charlie's Coffee located in Manitou on Main Street to grab a warm drink and treat.

Lunch

Fill up your stomach; before heading outside again take time to energize yourself!  If you left the ski hills without eating head down PTH 3 for 5 minutes East to Manitou. Turn in to town on Main Street and find a few options to satisfy your cravings.  TT’s Return is fully licensed and offers a large selection of home cooking.  If you are not wanting a full meal try Manitou Bakery to satisfy your sweet tooth and warm up with a cup of coffee.

Afternoon

Lace up:  After grabbing a bite stay in Manitou and enjoy some skating.  Located beside Manitou Elementary School stay outdoors and skate on our outdoor rink which also has a warm up building.  If a break from the brisk air is what you’re hoping for skate indoors at Manitou Community Arena.  Check our website www.pembina.ca for public skating times. If downhill skiing is not for you, lace on a pair of cross country skis or snowshoes and find a spot in the beautiful Pembina Valley to get some exercise while taking in the scenic surroundings.

Evening – The Pembina Valley enjoys more than 500 km of maintained snowmobile trails throughout our region.
